Assignment #8- Thinking about Arguements

The arguement that i chose was the punishment to someone for putting a facebook comment up while not on school campus. I think that in this situation its kind of unfair becuase the person wasnt even on school campus so that she could get punished int hat way. I think that the situation should've been handled differently someone should've came and talked to the person that did the facebook comment and settled the situation then in a private matter that everyone in the school wouldnt know about. In my opinion i think that facebook dosent have nothing to do with school and the people that attend the school. I just see it as people bringing in the problem to the school and that whats makes the people that work there want to do something about the problem, and at the end of it that when the person that makes the comment gets suspended from school because of the drama that they brought in. In my opinion facebook is nothing but drama and its the cause the majority of the people problems.

Assignment #7- Reflecting on Progress

I really think that i am doing much better in my writing when i look back at my first blog post the writing is way different. I think that all the excersises that we did in class has really helped me with my writing and writing and doing the excersieses in the text book for class. I think that there is nothing about the class that i would change. I enjoy the class in every way, the class has really helped me in the things that i needed help in. My writing process has changed because i feel like now when im writing my paper i really look into what im writing about and my wording is different also. I really think that my writing has inproved since the semester started.

Assignment #6- Responding to Peers and Considering Rhetorical Situations

The difference between this paper and the last paper that we did in class is the fact that the audience is different and the tone is different because your talking about two different things in both of the essays. In one essay your talking about your opinion on something, and the second essay is what you think advertisements are saying and who are they going towards such as what age are they trying to talk to. So therefore you are writing different and they are major changes that u have to make when writing rhetorical situations.

Assignment #5- Analyzing an Advertisement

The Advertisement i chose is Belvedere which is an old vodka that has been around but just recently is making its apperence to the public. The purpose of this advertisement is that if course its alcohol but at the ametime its trying to make a difference by donating half of their profits to Africa. I think the advertisement is going more towards people that party a lot and that are older like over the age of 21. I think this AD is similar to other ads because the advertisement has a celebratity on it which is a way of convincing people to but it. To me i think this advertisements tone is more towards a party tome like excitment.

Assignment #4- Thinking Critically about Revisions

My final draft looks different from my rough draft because i did all of the corrections that my peers from my peer review group told me to do. In my final draft i really fixed my paper and i organized it a little more then what my rough draft had. In my rough draft i had my ideas everywhere and it sounded like i was talking to someone instead of actually writing a paper. One of the problems that i have with writing my paper is that i tend to always repeat myself in every paragragh, and thats something that i would like to fix. The peer review giuded me to make big revisions to my paper because it was helpful that i got opinions from other people about my the problems that i needed to fix on my paper. The strongest part of my essay is the introduction and my weakest is the conclusion, thats something i would like to work on also.

Assignment #3- "Good" papers

To make a good paper it need a good introduction, details, and good examples. For the introduction you have to introduce what exactly you are talking about, and this is where you also put your thesis statement in, which is a statement someone can debate. By having good details it keeps the reader reading with interest if they are really good, and u can actually visualize the situations in your paper. Following that good examples come with details. Actually using a situation related to the situation that your talking about is good because then you have way more things to talk about. If u have all of these things in your paper then i am postive that u will recieve an A on your besides gettin a C. Which is just having some of the qulaties in your paper.

Assignment #2- Generating Ideas

I think one way that we can write this paper is by writing in our opinions. When I read the examples thats how the writing sound. The writer was writing in a way that they saw the situation and there opinion about it. In my paper i will discuss how i would think and my opinion about the topic. I am writing about if our personal relationships effect our school work and what are something that can happen when it does or if it does effect it. First i free write about the situation and i brainstorm what especfically i want to write about. Then thats when i start writing about my opinion about the situation.

Class

I really enjoy being in class its pretty interesting and fun. I understand the majority of the discussions we have in class. currently im sitting at my computer getting ready to write my 4 page essay that is due tomorrow. in a way i feel like i cant consentrate because i have so much i my mind i have been going through so much these past couple of days. I just dont know how much i could take and to be honest this is really hurting me. I know alot of people say that your personal life shouldnt get in between u and your school work but i feel like the situation i am in is going to get in the middle of me and my education.
